World Diamond Council (WDC) executive director Patricia Syvrud, will visit the International Diamond Week in Israel (IDWI), including her participation on the Diamond Marketing Panel.
In addition to meeting Israel’s diamond industry and trade associations leadership, a significant component of Syvrud’s visit will be to explain the work of the WDC and the Kimberley Process (KP).
Her presentation at the Diamond Marketing and Promotion panel will educate Israel Diamond Exchange members about the role of the WDC within the KP, the likely issues the KP will face in 2016 and how they will affect the wider industry.
“In today’s market, one cannot speak about diamond marketing and promotion without also addressing the reputational aspects of our industry. Consumers demand transparency and both diamond dealers and retailers need to be well equipped with up-to-date information to be able to answer any questions consumers may have on the topic,” said Syvrud.
The International Diamond Week in Israel will take place from February 14-18.
