From September 19 to 25, Hong Kong will adorn itself with a thousand gems for the 29th “September Hong Kong Jewellery & Gem Fair”. Could this be an opportunity to sound out the diamond market for the coming months?
Jewelry and high-end jewelry players from around the world will gather in Hong Kong from September 19 to 25, for the 29th “September Hong Kong Jewellery & Gem Fair”. This highly anticipated and large-scale event will bring together over 3,450 exhibitors from 46 different countries, and almost 51,500 visitors from 155 countries and regions are expected. Retailers and jewelers will, among other things, be meeting to anticipate jewelry trends and plan their purchases, with the end-of-year holiday season and Valentine’s Day in mind…
As for the diamond industry, it has placed great hopes in this event, which should enable it to sound out the market for the coming months, particularly in Asia – the perspective and needs of buyers in India and China being one of the key issues of the moment. Will the sluggishness still be present or can we hope for a boost in purchases and a reduction in stock in wholesale markets?
