De Beers introduced Forevermark in Hungary, Thailand and South Korea, making its flagship diamond-jewelry brand available in more than 1,700 retail outlets in 38 consumer markets.
“Forevermark has enjoyed remarkable growth since it was established eight years ago,” said Stephen Lussier, Forevermark’s chief executive officer. “Hungary, Thailand and South Korea are very promising markets with high-growth potential.”
De Beers said the move to Hungary strengthens the brand in Europe where it already has a presence in Turkey and the UK. Forevermark partnered in Hungary with R-A Diamonds, a distributor and wholesaler of fine diamond jewelry and loose diamonds, which has in turn initially selected eight retailers to distribute Forevermark diamonds.
In Thailand, Forevermark will be available in stores across the country, via its licensee partner, Jubilee, considered Thailand’s largest diamond jewelry chain.
Forevermark was launched in South Korea with a licensee partner, Golden Dew, which has started selling the brand in 11 stores. Golden Dew also has a presence in more than 70 department stores in the country and is considered a popular wedding jewelry outlet.
