ALROSA Group, the world leader in diamond production, announces diamond sales results for October and ten months of 2017.
In this October,ALROSA Group sold USD 337.6 million worth of rough and polished diamonds. Rough diamond sales by value amounted to USD 326.7 million, polished diamond sales – USD 10.9 million.
In January – October 2017, ALROSA’s rough and polished diamond sales amounted to USD 3.695 billion. Rough diamonds were sold for USD 3.616 billion, polished diamonds – for USD 79.0 million.
“Trade in October was more active than a month before – the Company’s sales grew compared to September, being stimulated by additional growth in demand for small-size rough diamonds at the end of the month. At the same time, sales in October last year were higher in monetary terms due to the sale of a larger volume of products from inventories,” ALROSA Vice President Yury Okoemov commented on the sales in October.
